Gallery on TrackIf you are travelling south along the Hume Highway and need a break, take the Goulburn exit and pop into Gallery on Track to see the talents of the local craftspeople. Its open Wednesday to Sunday 10am until 4pm. More information

The Countdown begins!

EPQ 2015 flyerPreparations are well and truly moving ahead for Eastwood Patchwork Quilters 2015 Biennial Exhibition to be held at Brush Farm House, Eastwood from Friday May 1 to Sunday May 5 2015, 10am until 4.30pm daily. Entry is free but donations are encouraged.

This year we are supporting two charities, Cord Blood Research (more information)  and Christian Community Aid (more information).

Brenda Gael Smith is curating another amazing exhibition this year. Living Colour is a travelling exhibition that can be viewed in several locations near us after its launch at the Australasian Quilt Convention 10-13 April 2014

News on Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair

The Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair is on this year July 9-13 at a new venue, Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island.

Some quilters have been asking about the new venue and how it will work. Here’s the latest from Expertise Events:

News on Darling Harbour Redevelopment

In 2014 Expertise Events will be moving their events previously held at Darling Harbour to the NEW Sydney Expo site at Glebe Island whilst the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is redeveloped over the next three years.

The specially designed temporary venue at Glebe Island will allow us to create a whole new opportunity to deliver our events in a brand new premium harbourside setting!

There is some great news for visitors; who will have the option of free public transport from various city locations, loads more parking onsite and it will be cheaper!

Fast facts:

  • The new venue is just 5.6km from the existing Darling Harbour centre.
  • Only 5.8km from Central Station or a short 7 minute taxi ride from George Street.
  • Ferry and River Cat services drop off at the centre door.
  • Buses will operate from set transport hubs around the city: Central, Town Hall, Circular Quay and Darling Harbour.
  • There will be an array of restaurants and pop-up cafes on site.

The Creative Textile Show in Canberra on May2-4 is a new one this year and is a welcome replacement for the textile art show that was previously in Brisbane. An easy drive to Canberra from Sydney!
