Mad Quilters Gathering in a new location
Quiltsmith Annandale is closing!
This sad news was received yesterday. Many of our group have been customers of Quiltsmith over many years, enjoyed the beautiful fabrics and attended classes and events organised by Quiltsmith.

The Remnant Warehouse at 490 Botany Road Alexandria is having a sale this weekend. They have lots of lovely fabrics including patchwork fabrics.

The Lady and the Unicorn
This exhibition is highly recommended if you enjoy textiles or history. The Lady and the Unicorn is currently on exhibit at the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney, it’s only venue in Australia. You will need to book a timed entry ticket, it’s a very popular exhibition on until 24th June 2018. Visit the gallery website for more details here

Oakley Cottage Pink Quilt Competition
This quilt competition is open to all NSW quilters and will be exhibited in October 2018. More details are below and to access the full information and entry forms click here
The competition is being run in conjunction with Oatley Lions Club and proceeds go to the McGrath Foundation to help provide breast care nurses and support to women and families suffering breast cancer.
Different Directions – Carolyn Sullivan and Cathy Jack Coupland
Take a short trip to Concord West to visit the newly opened NSW Embroiderers Guild building and catch this interesting exhibition. It’s on until the 25/1/18 with a meet the artist and demonstration day this Saturday 6/1/18 from 10-2.
Brenda Gael Smith Exhibition
